Obtaining Alchemy Recipes

For all crafting, recipes come from a few sources. The Essential books give you all the basic recipes for each level and advanced books give you recipes for using rare harvests. In addition, there are some specialty recipes available only in special books, scrolls, and as single recipes: ancient teachings, quest granted recipes (HQs and otherw), faction purchasable recipes (Ruins of Kunark introduced), and recipes bought from the tradeskill society.

There is no level 80 Essentials or Advanced book. Recipe books bought from faction merchants are No Trade.
